Oklahoma visit

I flew from Salt Lake City to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 1st. I came here to help Adam prepare for a court appearance. I haven't seen Adam in about 4 months since I left St. Paul for the last time in January. I have been traveling around visiting my kids, grandkids, and people that I love.
I had one full day by myself. I played a round of golf and then picked Adam and Summer up at the airport about 7:30 pm. We spent the evening preparing documents for court. On Monday morning Adam was informed that the court date was moved to May 10th. At least he is prepared. Today, Adam and I played a round of golf, at which I handily beat him and then we went to Olivia's softball game. She, Rickie and Hank were so excited and surprised to see me. They ran and gave me a great big hug. Before they left with their mother, they all came over and hugged me, kissed me and said they loved me. How special that was.
Adam and Summer go back to Minn. tomorrow morning. I will then determine which direction I will head or stay put here for a little while.

My Granddaughter Bailey

I have spent the last two weeks with my granddaughter Bailey Mae. As all grandpops do, I have taught her a few things. She can now crawl on her knees, she has learned to say pops, and best of all she can throw up her hands and say dahdah when she eats. She loves to scream at the top of her lungs when you aren't paying attention to her, but is a trip to be around. She takes after her mother, Heather, so much. "Look at me, look at me!" It has been great. I leave Friday for Oklahoma.

Heather, Bailey and I went to the Tulip Festival the other day. We took a lot of pictures, the flowers were so beautiful.

It was such a beautiful day and Bailey loved the flowers as well.

I needed some alone time since Kyle has planned almost every moment for me while staying with he and Heather, so I took a drive up to the mountains. I visited Bridal Veil Falls and walked the trail. I just sat on a rock and enjoyed the day. It is so beautiful up here. I love the mountains so much. I wish I had a cabin up there somewhere for the summer.

I arrived in SLC on Tuesday April 13. I wanted to spend a few weeks out here to visit with Heather, Kyle, and Bailey Mae, Heidi and Morgan. Kyle is our activities planner and has done an outstanding job. He makes sure that while I am here, there is rarely a moment that is not filled with activity. We have played golf several times and spent a lot of time with Bailey Mae. She is 9 months old now and just today took here first crawls on her knees. Before today it was army crawl only. I spent the first week with Heather, Kyle and Bailey, and last week I spent time with Heidi and Morgan. We went camping one night, although Heidi and I came home to sleep. Morgan and his friend Craig braved the elements and stayed overnight. The campfire was great. We have had some great meals prepared both by me and the girls. All are doing well. I had a chance to go to the mountains for alone time yesterday and enjoyed that time as well. I will be leaving here on Friday and on to my next location. Guess where?

Why call this Where's Cecil? Well, since leaving St. Paul in April of 2009, I have been on one continuous travel. I lived in Italy for 90 days, returned to the US and have traveled to Atlanta, Tampa, Illinois, Minnesota, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Hattiesburg, MS, Oklahoma, and driven from Atlanta to Seattle. I have visited most of these locaitons more than once during this time. I have attended a number of LSU football games in various location with my new found Mississippi Belle. I have yet to settle in a location, so they call me a nomad. I love to travel and will always try to go to new places and see new things.

Stayed tuned for more travels.
